Laurie Braden, LSU UREC Executive Director

Dear LSU Students & UREC Members

The 2018-2019 school year is upon us, and we at LSU UREC are excited about what this year has in store for our amazing students and LSU community.  This year, we celebrate completing one full year of operation in the new UREC, and we look forward to continuing to serve you.

Come connect with our energy and join the transformation movement that is your LSU experience.  At UREC, we offer opportunities for you to engage with fellow students, build relationships, and develop practices for a lifetime of wellbeing.

From adventure trips including camping, hiking, and kayaking the coasts of our fine state; UREC has much to offer.  Come check out our 1/3 mile indoor running track overlooking the amazing LSU leisure river without the bugs, pot holes or heat.  After your walk or jog around the track, join one of the 75 weekly GroupX fitness classes that are free for all members.  If you are in to sports, check out our intramural leagues or join a sport club.  If gaming is your thing, be on the look out for our new eSports offering this year.  If the water is your happy place, come by for lap swimming, a lifeguard class, or enjoy studying by our world recognized leisure river.   This is only a short list of all activities available at UREC to transform your LSU experience into lifetime memories.

Please feel free to peruse our website or follow us on social media to find out what we have planned for the Fall 2018 semester.  Come join us!

We wish you all a successful and healthy Fall 2018!

On behalf of the UREC Team,
Laurie Braden
