UREC Student Recreation Complex
The UREC Student Recreation Center (or UREC SRC) provides a modern and energetic atmosphere conducive to the needs of our patrons. The UREC SRC is a 121,000 sq foot innovative and comprehensive recreational facility featuring state of the art equipment, high-level programming, and modern amenities to meet the ever-changing needs and expectations of our patrons.
UREC Fields at River Rd.
Formally known as the UREC Sport & Adventure Complex, The UREC Fields at River Rd. are anticipated to open in August of 2014. As a part of Phase I of the expansion and redesign project, the complex will feature four softball fields in a wagon-wheel configuration with covered dugouts, 8 multi-purpose fields, renovated locker rooms, and additional parking than what was previously available at the UREC Sport & Adventure Complex. The Fields at River Rd. will be home to many Sport Clubs for practice and competition and various Intramural Sports. The will be available upon completion for event and tournament rentals.

Expansion and Redesign Project
The University is in the planning and design stages of an expansion and redesign project that will increase recreation space at LSU to approximately 250,000 sq. ft. The project is expected to include an outdoor leisure pool, an adventure center, as well as additional fields, courts and multipurpose studios. LSU UREC operates the Student Recreation Center with an adjacent field complex and new UREC Fields at River Rd. which are anticipated to open in August of 2014.
Guests & Visitors
All visitors should check at the UREC Operations Desk located at the entrance of the facility. A UREC team member will be happy to give you a tour of the facility and answer any questions you may have. Day passes available for $10. Guests must be sponsored by a UREC member or eligible for a UREC membership to purchase a day pass.
All vehicles parked on campus must display a current LSU parking permit. Students and faculty/staff should park in the appropriate zones. Alumni and retired faculty/staff members must obtain a permit from the LSU Parking and Traffic Office or the Visitor’s Center. This permit only allows for parking in an X-Lot or 2-Hour Lot surrounding the Student Recreation Complex. You will need to present a valid driver’s license and UREC Membership Card.
