UREC Student Recreation Complex
The UREC Student Recreation Center (or UREC SRC) provides a modern and energetic atmosphere conducive to the needs of our patrons. The UREC SRC is a 121,000 sq foot innovative and comprehensive recreational facility featuring state of the art equipment, high-level programming, and modern amenities to meet the ever-changing needs and expectations of our patrons. The UREC Student Recreation Complex is located at the corner of South Campus Drive and Minnie Fisk Lane.
UREC Field Complex at River Rd.
Formally known as the UREC Sport & Adventure Complex, the UREC Field Complex located at River Rd. opened in August 2014. The complex features four softball fields in a wagon-wheel configuration with covered dugouts, 8 multi-purpose fields, renovated locker rooms, and additional parking than what was previously available at the UREC Sport & Adventure Complex. The UREC Field Complex will be home to many Sport Clubs for practice and competition and various Intramural Sports. Expansion and Redesign Project
The University is in the planning and design stages of an expansion and redesign project that will increase recreation space at LSU to approximately 250,000 sq. ft. The project is expected to include an outdoor leisure pool, an adventure center, as well as additional fields, courts and multipurpose studios. LSU UREC operates the Student Recreation Center with an adjacent field complex and new UREC Field Complex which opened in August of 2014.
Activities Can be configured for a variety of sports including flag football, rugby, lacrosse, soccer, and ultimate frisbee.
