Small Group Training hours extended

Did you know that UREC has a Small Group Training Room with free weights, kettlebells, and mats that are available for you to use? Check it out just past the Equipment Desk.


Krav Maga proves that the best offense is a good defense!

Although we don’t like to think about dangerous situations, it’s also better to be safe than sorry. Check out Krav Maga to learn self-defense techniques originally developed by the Israeli military. It’s is a mix of boxing, judo, jig-jitsu, wrestling, and other forms of combat!


Registration is accepted at the UREC Student Recreation Center Operations Desk or online here for UREC members. Participants are required to register in advance of attending a UREC Specialty Course. Registration for each course is open until the registration deadline or the course reaches its maximum capacity. UREC reserves the right to cancel or modify courses.  View UREC refund policy

About Small Group Training

A more affordable “Personal Training” option, UREC’s Small Group Training sessions and One-Day Workshops are tailored from general to more specific fitness goals that are shared among the members of the group. You may be looking for strength training guidance in the weight room or more specific forms of training such as TRX and VIPR! With session/workshop size limits from 6-10, a small group setting allows for more individualized attention in a fun, motivating, and social environment. Sessions and One-Day Workshops are taught by our very own nationally certified personal trainers.
