Bench Press Competition

Test your strength and compete against your weight class in our Bench Press Competition.  Whether you are a beginner or experienced lifter, this competition will put you up against others in your weight class.  Prelims consist of lifting 6 reps at 125% of your body weight for males, and complete 8 reps at 50% of your bodyweight for females.  This is not a max lift competition.  All participants must be eligible to participate by competing in our prelims on October 11 in the UREC Fitness area. Final competition is October 18, and it will be held by the Social Stairs.

  • Dates/Times: October 11 (prelims) from 5 – 8 p.m. & October 18 (competition) from 6 – 8 p.m.
